The Energy Reform

The Energy Reform is a historic opportunity that Mexico can leverage its energy resources in a rational, sustainable and in accordance with the principles of national sovereignty, economic efficiency and social benefit form.
With the efficient use of our natural resources will be posibledetonar the potential of the energy sector to generate greater welfare for the population. This will be achieved through the increased production of cleaner and cheaper energy, increased oil revenues, generating well-paying jobs and protecting the environment.
The Energy Reform aims to attract investment and modernize the energy sector in order to promote:

Support for the family economy by reducing the price of electricity, gas and food, as well as the creation of formal and quality jobs and better-paying service in the fuel supply.

Social development, to allocate oil revenues to bolster social spending, the long-term savings and scholarship programs, the Universal Pension and productive and technological development projects, and to establish mechanisms for the benefits of the activity energy reach communities and foster regional development.

Caring for the environment, the protection of workers and the welfare of the population, to encourage the generation of energy from renewable sources and clean technologies, to regulate the safety of hydrocarbon sector and make the welfare-responsible companies communities.
